Westwego Remembered
The book chronicles the development of the community, focusing on its origins and the successions of the Ames and Zeringue Plantations. It also covers the naming of the town, which is linked to the railroad conductors who called the last community before heading west “WEST-WE-GO”.
Available for purchase at the Westwego Historical Museum located at 275 Sala Ave., Westwego, and is available for viewing at any parish library.
